Freq #0011: Follow Your Heart Back
Your reality isn't found. It's built. Here's what happens when the signal breaks.
You are not just living in reality. You are building one.
Every scroll. Every click. Every conversation. Every room you sit in. It's all material. It becomes the walls.
Perception is not passive. It's construction. What you let in becomes what you put out. And what you put out becomes someone else's material. That's the part we forget. Your reality is never just yours.
But realities break. Someone stops seeing what you see. A room goes quiet. A shared understanding just stops being shared.
And that's not always a tragedy. Sometimes it's just proof you were never building the same thing. So before you ask why it broke, ask what you were building in the first place.
If you feel your reality breaking, don't panic.
Ask yourself three things:
The break isn't the end of the signal. It's just static. It's time to retune.
Go back. To where you came from. Back to what you left. What you love. What interests you. What excites you. What connects you.
There's that saying: follow your heart. You've heard it. But, dear Freqer, there's something you must not forget: You follow your heart back. You return.
Not because you're going backward. Because sometimes the thing you've been searching for is something you already knew. Something you left behind. Something that got buried beneath the noise, the expectations, the opinions, the static.
Go back. Remember why you started. Remember what made you curious. Remember what made you feel alive. Remember who you are when nobody is watching.
That's where you'll find the deepest connection. That's where you'll find the signal. That's where you'll find the Truth.
Go back. Remember why you do it. Remember who you're showing up for. Remember what is actually in your control.
Then keep building. Not the reality everyone else expects you to build. The future you actually believe in.
This is what the future demands. This is what the world needs. You.
A Perception Audit
Try this before you close the tab.
Track one hour. Not to judge it — just to see it.
No need to answer out loud. Just notice.
That's the whole exercise.
What is PRISM
A quick note on where this thinking comes from.
PRISM™ is a five-lens framework for how leaders see, interpret, and act on the world around them.
Perception. Reflection. Imagination. Sublimation. Magnification. Five ways of moving from noticing, to processing, to creating, to expanding what others believe is possible.
Most leadership development was built for a stable world. That world is gone.
The leaders who navigate what's next won't be the ones with the most information. They'll be the ones who've learned to perceive differently.
That's the bet behind PRISM. It's the bet behind this newsletter too.
If this one landed, pass it to someone navigating change or uncertainty. It might be the lens they need right now.
Until the next transmission —
Stay bright. Think clearly.
The next Freq is always building.
